About Empty Vase
EVE – Empty Vase Events, is a complete event planning firm with a reputation as one of the most creative, high-end special events designers in Los Angeles. Aside from offering our clients the most unique floral concepts, EVE provides every aspect of event design including Rentals, Flooring, Lighting, and Draping.
We are looking to hire a full-time assistant to assist our Special Events Director with presentations and paperwork, which in due time may present the opportunity to run their own events from conception to execution. Attention to detail and ability to multitask and handle high-tension environments is an absolute necessity in order to succeed in this position and industry.
Compensation dependent on candidate’s experience.
The position has very real potential for growth.
Ordering correct floral & rental quantities for events
All preparative paperwork – cost and quantity breakdowns of centerpieces, assisting with rentals, etc.
Assisting department head with sourcing specialty items
Assisting department head with the preparation of formal event proposals
Additional responsibilities as needed – must be a “Yes” person!
Experience with flowers and weddings are not required, but a plus
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in any field
Demonstrated professional experience in administrative position (some internships will be considered)
Takes direction well, must be a quick learner with fool-proof attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle high-tension environments. If you are susceptible to stress and high levels of anxiety, this position may not be the right fit for you
